Moving to a new city for uni should be the best time of your life. New city, new people, complete freedom. You're ready for it all.

We've been there, done that, arrived in a new city for uni, didn't know a soul, and spent weeks figuring out where to go, who to meet, and how to actually feel at home.

Alex landed in Amsterdam and scrolled endlessly trying to find his people. Eka moved to Rotterdam and wished there was just one place to connect with other internationals. Josy started in Berlin feeling like everyone already had their groups. Michael hit London and realised the hardest part of uni isn't the coursework, it's finding your community.

Every semester, thousands of students repeat this exact struggle. Same loneliness, new faces, copy-paste isolation.

We started solving it the simplest way we could: WhatsApp groups. First for our own campuses, then for international students across the city, then for students from different universities.
‍
We quickly learned something important: student life isn't just about your campus, it's about your city. When you combine students from multiple universities, multiple programs, and multiple backgrounds all living in the same place, the community becomes instantly alive.

And that's how Socials was born. A handful of WhatsApp groups turned into a network connecting students across 200+ cities worldwide. Today, over 93k+ students use Socials to find their people before they even arrive.

Inside the groups, students find flatmates, discover events, get tips on navigating their new city, and most importantly, they don't feel alone. The experience becomes social from day one. Friendships, parties, spontaneous adventures, study sessions, and lifelong connections.
